Siemsens married 60 years ago

Anniversary

Don and Carol Siemsen will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Holyrood.

Don Siemsen and Carol Shild were married Aug. 29, 1959 at the Northminister Presbyterian Church in Portland, Ore. They honeymooned in Canada at Lake Quinault Lodge.

Don retired after 27 years as assistant director and financial aide officer at Manhattan Vocational Technical School. Carol, a homemaker, retired from the K-State Union Bookstore.

Hosting the reception are their children, Keith and Deanna Siemsen of Aurora, Colo., and Kathryn Siemsen of Tucson, Ariz.

They have four grandchildren, Mark (Courtney) Siemsen, Robin Siemsen, Rachael Walker and Samantha Walker.
