Ona Nadine Crawford (1932-2023)

In loving memory of Ona Nadine Crawford, Jan. 23, 1932-Aug. 3, 2023.

Ona Nadine Crawford, beloved wife of the late Bennie Dean Crawford, peacefully passed away on Aug. 3, 2023, in Lincoln, Kan. She was a devoted and dedicated mother to her three surviving children, Rhonda Lee, Robin Dawn and Christa Gail. She is also survived by her sister Melva Lindeen.

Ona Nadine had a wonderful sense of humor and often shared lighthearted moments with her close friends and those who took care of her. Her playful spirit and quick wit brought smiles to the hearts of those around her.

In addition to her career as a county clerk secretary in the counties of Lincoln and Ellsworth, Ona Nadine was partial owner of clothing boutique Classy Lady Boutique. To this day, the boutique remains open in Ellsworth, Kan., a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the community.

Ona Nadine’s legacy continues through her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her much happiness and pride.

Visitation will be held at Hall Chapel in Lincoln, Kan., on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023, from 1-7 p.m. where family and friends will gather to honor Ona Nadine’s life and share fond memories. Family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m.

The funeral service, which is private, will be held on Aug. 10 at Hall Chapel, where family will bid farewell to Ona Nadine.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband Bennie Dean Crawford and her son Randall Dean, who sadly passed away at a young age. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Noel and Walter Gnagy and sisters Verla Lindeen, Verna Gibson and Myrtle Dettmer.
