James Beauchamp (1958-2023)

James Beauchamp, 65, passed away Aug. 5, 2023, in Ellsworth. He was born June 4, 1958, in Junction City, Kan., to Joseph “Joe” Baxter and Shitsue “Sue” (Sato) Beauchamp. He married Marilyn Kay Dolezal in Ellsworth on Oct. 14, 1978.

Jim was a longtime resident of Ellsworth where he had several occupations over the years, including the family farm and working for the city of Ellsworth Water Department, retiring in 2015 after over 30 years of service.

Jim was an avid bowler and one of the few to bowl a perfect 300 game. He also enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars and always appreciated a good TV show. He entered his beloved ’69 Nova in many car shows.

James is survived by his wife Marilyn Beauchamp of Ellsworth; son John Beauchamp (Marsha) of Tescott; grandson Nathan Beauchamp; three step-grandchildren, Rebecca, Diana and Ronald; brother Mike

Beauchamp (Martha) of Arkansas City; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, at Parsons Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at Parsons Funeral Home with burial following in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
