Gloria Faye Cassingham (1941-2026)

Gloria Faye Cassingham, 84, of Kanopolis, Kan., passed away Feb. 12, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth, Kan. She was born Dec. 27, 1941, in Elkhart, Kan., the daughter of Marion and Gladys (Perky) Webb. Gloria had resided in Ellsworth since 2013, formerly of Little River, Kan. She graduated from Elkhart High School with the class of 1959. Gloria worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kan., and in home health care. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Elkhart, and First United Methodist Church, Little River. Gloria was a fun, loving and never-met-a-stranger-type of gal. She loved her two dogs, Sassy and Angel, playing the piano, dancing to music, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On Jan. 8, 1983, Gloria was united in marriage with Galen Cassingham in Little River. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her parents and brother Oliver Webb. Gloria is survived by her five children, Gerald Sipes, Ellsworth, Kan.; Mary Munoz (Matt), Kanopolis, Kan.; Steve Sipes (Kathy) Stafford, Kan.; Terry Cassingham (Deana) Healdton, Okla.; and Tamera Pearson (Matt), Newark, Del.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, Kan., with pastor Chantel Makarawa officiating. Burial will follow at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River, Kan. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time, with family present. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Society Ellsworth for the staff fund, in care of Birzer Funeral Home.
