The ordinance increases the cost of a opening a regular or mausoleum grave from $250 to $350, which was approved at the Jan. 19 meeting. The ordinance also increases the cost of opening a surface mausoleum from $300 to $400, a cremation grave from $100 to $150, disinterment (removal only) from $300 to $400 and disinterment (removal and reburial) from $500 to $750.

Eleanor Avis Foster died Jan. 20, 2021 at the age of 75 as a result of an auto accident in Cleburne, Texas. Avis was born June 7, 1945 to Walter and Ida (Courtright) Hallagin.
Shirley Ann Turner Raney, 86, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, in Hays, Kan. She was born July 22, 1934 in Salina, Kan. to Bud and Lottie (Phelps) Turner.
Betty M. (Jennrich) Soukup passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kan., at the age of 89.
