HOLYROOD — A special movie showing, fans eager to see their favorite stars on screen, the smell of fresh popcorn, enthusiasts with books clutched under their arms all eager for autographs and a movie writer/ director on the scene in-person to discuss how a feature film was made? It sounds more like Hollywood than Holyrood, but that was the scene Saturday afternoon, Oct. 4, in the American Legion Hall in Holyrood, as history and movie buffs gathered to view “Sod and Stubble,” the highlighted feature of the Holyrood Booster Club’s “Heritage Matinee” fundraising event.
