Aldridge recorded his cowboy experiences in “Ranch Notes in Kansas, Colorado, the Indian Territory and Northern Texas,” published in 1884. The Ellsworth boys’ basketball team competed against the Lyons Lions Dec. 6, losing 55-32. The game started out on a horrible foot. The Lions almost immediately established a massive lead and the Bearcats struggled to keep up. Lead scorer was junior Tucker Goss, who scored a 3-pointer.
