Recycling to resume in Ellsworth County

Since December, Ellsworth has been without recycling services. Though the city didn’t have curbside recycling, it did have a drop-off point for recyclables that residents could utilize. When the receptacles were full, Ellsworth County Noxious Weed Department Director Teresa Shute, who also oversees the recycling program and landfill, would call Chris Behrens of CB Trucking to haul the refuse to Lincoln for processing.

The royal blue field of the Connecticut state flag flies curiously over a Kansas state historical marker at the west edge of Elk Falls, Kan., along Highway 160.
