Read moreWILSON — The Wilson High School Lady Dragons hosted the Otis-Bison Lady Cougars in the first round of substate basketball tournament Friday, Feb. 25. The Dragons were hot in the first quarter outscoring their opponent 12-5. The second quarter was more of an even matchup of 8-7 taking the Dragons to halftime with a 20-12 lead. Returning for the second half the Dragons continued to lead the Lady Cougars, outscoring them 13-11 to bring the score at the end of the third quarter to 33- 23. Otis-Bison attempted to battle back, outscoring the Lady Dragons 9-13 in the fourth quarter. Despite their efforts the Lady Dragons came out on top with a final score of 42-36.
