Ellsworth Municipal Airport was buzzing with activity Sept. 20 as 17-18 aircraft flew in for the Kansas Aviation Tour. In addition to a variety of airplanes, there were several vendors, students and aviation enthusiasts there as well. The Independent-Reporter interviewed several for their thoughts. Here are their comments: “Overall, I think it went really well,” Ellsworth City Administrator Dustin Stambaugh said. “I think there are always things we can improve upon. We’re going to work with the surrounding school districts and do even better next year.”
