BIG BOY PLANS RETURN VISIT

Details are still being discussed but it appears the world’s biggest steam engine will be headed Ellsworth’s way later this year. Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014 is scheduled to leave Cheyenne, Wyo. April 5. A map of the Big Boy 2021 Tour has the 1.2-million-pound train going through Kansas on UP’s main line, which runs through Ellsworth. The above photo is from the engine was here in 2019.
