The candidate forum will focus on the Ellsworth County commission race between Democrat Patrick Hoffman and Republican Greg Bender. The moderator will be Steven Johnson, who represents the 108th District in the Kansas House of Representatives. Johnson, an Assaria Republican whose district includes Ellsworth County, is unopposed in the Nov. 3 general election.

Bollier, a physician and member of the Kansas Senate, is a Democrat after leaving the Republican party in 2018. Her opponent is Republican Roger Marshall, also a physician, who represents the state’s First District in Congress.

Masks will be required at both the Lawn Chair Chat and the candidate forum.
