Glenna “Faye” Rayls (1942-2020)

Glenna “Faye” Rayls, 77, of Salina, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. She was born April 30, 1942 in Dodge City to Fred and Euneva (Brock) Kuhne.  
Faye worked at Cashco, Inc. in Ellsworth, University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Mo., and Central Plains Diesel and Repair where she retired.  
She is survived by daughters, Kim Cranston of Ellsworth and Serena Helvey of Salina; stepson, Joe Rayls; mother-in-law, Leona Rayls; brother-in-law, Donnie Rayls (Gayla) all of Topeka; aunt and best friend, Shirley Wells and her children, Cari and Gus; nieces and nephew, Teresa, Tammy, and Troy of the Kansas City area; grandchildren, Dylan Helvey (Brooke), Jack Helvey (Hunter) Danielle Cranston, Makenzie Cranston, Cade Cranston (Rhianna), Aaron Johnson (Saraya); and seven great-grandchildren, Drayce, Dezmyn, Brenna, Bode, Landin, Addi, and Axton.  
Faye was preceded in death by her husband Jim Rayls; her parents; son, Rodney Nickell; stepdaughter, Jennifer Rayls; brother, Donnie Kuhne; sister, JoAnn Brunk; uncle, John Wells; and father-in-law, Donald Rayls.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Ryan Mortuary.  
Private inurnment will take place in Ellsworth Cemetery.  
Memorials to Tammy Walker Cancer Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
