William Henry ‘Bill’ Frees, 85, of Bushton, Kan., passed away Nov. 9, 2019, at Country Living of Lyons. He was born Dec. 16, 1933 in Bushton, the son of William Christian and Katherine Grossardt Frees. 
Bill was a lifelong Bushton resident. He graduated from Bushton High School with the class of 1951.  Bill was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bushton; member of the United Methodist Men; lay member of the United Methodist Church Annual Conference; Soil Conservation Service Board member; and was a former Bushton School Board member.  
On Feb. 28, 1954, Bill was united in marriage with Roberta Hoelscher in Bushton. She survives of the home. 
He is also survived by his four children, Cathy (Kelly) Hutchinson of Bushton, Jim (Judy) Frees of Holyrood, Kan., Vincent (Trish) Frees of Bushton, and Renee (Jeff) Gish of Wilmington, Ill.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. 
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Arlene White.  
A private graveside service will be held at the Bushton Cemetery with Pastor Diana Webster officiating.  
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Bushton in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
