Morris Edward Galliart passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kan., at the age of 87. Morris was born March 25, 1933 to David and Lydia (Mikulecky) Galliart in Wilson, Kan.
Morris grew up in Wilson where he attended Wilson schools. He then pursued a career in the oil field as a unit driver until his retirement. Morris was united in marriage to Jane Casper Nov. 12, 1955, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wilson. To this union, Brent, Cindy, and Gisele were born.

Morris enjoyed staying busy; you could always find him outside in his vegetable garden, fishing, cutting wood, working on a landscaping project, or in his garage. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wilson.

Morris was a good-hearted man who worked hard, enjoyed life and cherished his family and friends. Though Morris is gone from our sight, we know that those we enjoyed and loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. We can smile because he lived and left us with cherished memories that will live forever in our hearts. He will be remembered in love.

Morris is survived by his wife, Jane Galliart of the home; children, Brent Galliart of St. Joseph, Mo., Cindy (Gary) Naegele of Kearney, Neb., and Gisele (Doug) Loomis of Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Leo Galliart and Clarence Galliart of Halstead, Kan.; four grandchildren, Chris (Marissa) Naegele, Kelsey (Marvin) Whitehorn, Jordan Loomis, Braydan Loomis; and six great-grandchildren, Emily, Dante, Evyn, and Korbin Naegele, and Kelmarah and Markelia Whitehorn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Lydia Galliart; brother, Dave Galliart; and sisters, Ida Casper and Frances Glendening.

A book signing will be held from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Wilson.

Memorials are suggested to the  Wilson American Legion Post 262, Wilson Senior Center or Immanuel Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, PO BOX 533, Wilson, Kan. 67490.
