Ellsworth city manager resigns
Ellsworth’s city manager resigned in a letter Nov. 20 to the mayor and city council.
“This decision was not made lightly, as I hold deep respect and appreciation for the city council, city staff and the community I have been fortunate to serve,” Dustin Stambaugh wrote.
Stambaugh served as the city manager of Ellsworth since August 2022. His final day will be Dec. 27.
“Working alongside you to address challenges, improve services and contribute to the betterment of our city has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. I am proud of all we have accomplished together, and I have no doubt the City of Ellsworth will continue to thrive under your leadership.
“As I take the next step in my professional journey, I want to express my gratitude for the trust and support you have shown me throughout my tenure. I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will do all I can to support the City Council and staff during this period.”
