The Central Plains High School Oilers Football Team tasted defeat during their first outing of the season Sept. 2. They fell 26-8 at Ness City to the Eagles.

Coach Keeley Hipp and her Central Plains High School Cross Country team had a good showing Sept. 1 at Hoisington, for the first meet of the year. Boys Junior Varsity runner Cale Thompson took first with a time of 20:26, and Boys Varsity runner Peyton Ryan placed second with a time of 19:31.
