Read moreThe Ellsworth Junior-High School Lady Bearcats basketball team defeated Beloit Dec. 18 at the Junior High League Tournament at Republic County to win the North Central Activities Association League title. According to Ron Davis, EJSHS athletic director, the Lady ‘Cats were the number one seed going into the tournament. They defeated Beloit 41-24. The Lady ‘Cats end the season with a 11-1 record. Read moreThe Wilson Dragon boys varsity basketball team is back row, from left — Memphis Eberhart, Tage Woodmansee, Cade Brokes, Noah Crawford, Aiden Watts and Malachi Huck; front row, from left — Alec Huck, Taegan Thrasher, Connor Charvat, Briceson Pasek, Zane Modlin. During the 2020-21 season, the Dragons played their way into the second round of substate before being beaten by St. John’s-Beloit. They finished the season 8-8 overall and 4-5 in league action.
